Bark & Browse owners Lane Martin and Lisa Lombardo share a love of dogs, especially large dogs. They have combined that love with their unique talents to create Bark & Browse, a unique retail shop offering "gifts for pets and the people who love them" along with the best available foods and supplies for dogs and cats, and Canine Connection dog training.

According to Lisa and Lane, Bark & Browse is a neighborhood pet place where dog lovers can learn about various breeds before selecting a new companion or share their favorite pet photos and stories. Their unique concept includes regularly scheduled events for dogs and their people, carry out service for bulky foods and supplies, and community involvement in support of pet adoption.

Owner Lane Martin contributes the business background as Bark & Browse's manager. Owner Lisa Lombardo brings to Bark & Browse 20 years experience training dogs.

Canine Connection Trainer Lisa Lombardo

Lisa Lombardo began working in the pet care industry at 12 years of age as a kennel assistant for Casa de Amigo kennel in Monterrey, CA. By the time she was 18, she was a manager at the facility.

After joining the Air Force in 1983, Lisa began training dogs for the military. From 1985-88 Lisa was kennel manager and a vet’s assistant at Town & Country Animal Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Then, from 2001 to 2003, Lisa worked full time as a trainer at a nationally recognized training facility in Northern Virginia; she then opened her own in-home training service. Lisa commits herself to staying abreast of new trends in the field by attending lectures, seminars and workshops on a regular basis. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and is an AKC CGC Evaluator. She is also the proud owner of two chocolate labs, Jake and Griffin.
